Situated in the Banff National Park in Canada’s Rocky Mountains, the skiing is divided into three separate areas: The Banff Mount Norquay ski area is some 15 minutes from Banff by ski bus. Sunshine Village is 25 minutes from Banff and offers excellent skiing for all levels. The third area is Lake Louise, 45 minutes from Banff and the most extensive of the three. Banff itself has a wonderful frontier town atmosphere, with interesting shops, saloons and restaurants. Banff has something for everyone - from the expert skier to the non-skier, there’s breathtaking scenery, a lively town to enjoy and…lots and lots of snow!
Fernie
Nestled right in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, Fernie is a resort that has gained a deserved reputation amongst British skiers in recent years for its challenging terrain, excellent snow record and lack of crowds. Lake Louise
The small village of Lake Louise is situated in Banff National Park and is surrounded by stunning scenery. The ski area is huge and really caters for everybody, with a choice of an easy or more taxing route down from the top of each chairlift. There are over 150 trails in total, the longest of which is over 5 miles in length. The wide-open back bowls offer great steep terrain or wide-open powder fields.
Tremblant
Tremblant has operated as a ski resort since the 1930s, and has gained an enviable reputation for offering quality skiing and facilities in a refreshingly different atmosphere. A state-of-the-art lift system serves 600 acres of exciting tree-lined trails ranging from easy greens to taxing blacks.
